Agent notice
Last updated 9 October 2026
This notice is for anyone who has been offered work as a payment agent on Pateway, or who already works as one.
1. Pateway does not recruit agents
Pateway does not hire, recruit or pay agents, and does not run agents of its own. There is no Pateway job, Pateway agent account or Pateway training course to sign up for.
2. How agents join
Agents join through a merchant they work with. The merchant gives you the address of its agent app, which is the merchant's code followed by .pateway.net.
You register there with your phone number and submit your identity documents. The merchant reviews and approves you, and you sign your agent agreement with the merchant, not with Pateway.
3. Paying in Pateway's name is a scam
Pateway never asks anyone for money. Anyone who asks you to pay a fee, buy a package, make a security payment or transfer money to Pateway or in Pateway's name is a scammer. Do not pay.
Nobody from Pateway will message you on Telegram, WhatsApp or by phone to offer you agent work, and nobody from Pateway will ask for your PIN or a verification code.
4. Deposits go to your merchant
Your merchant may ask for a deposit before you can take orders. The deposit is paid to your merchant, never to Pateway, and it shows in your agent app once the merchant confirms it. You can ask for it back when you stop working as an agent.
5. What an agent does
You collect from or pay customers in your merchant's name, using payment accounts registered in your own name, and upload the transaction ID for each order. Customers see which merchant the payment is for.
6. Stay safe
Use only the agent app address your merchant gave you, and check that it ends with .pateway.net. Never share your PIN or verification codes with anyone. If a message, group or website claims to be Pateway and asks for money, it is not us.
7. If you were asked to pay
Stop all payments and keep the messages and receipts. Report it to your local police or cybercrime authority, and tell the merchant you work with.
